The Story Behind C-Thru
C-Thru is a fragrance brand from the Sarantis Group, a consumer goods company with roots going back to 1930 in Constantinople. Over the following decades, Sarantis grew into a multinational presence with headquarters in Athens, Greece, building a portfolio of personal care products across Central and Eastern Europe.
The C-Thru line was established to bring genuine fragrance craftsmanship to a wider audience. The debut collection, launched in 2008, featured three gem-named scents — Blue Opal, Ruby, and Purple Diamond — developed in collaboration with perfumers from IFF, Firmenich, and Givaudan. It was among the first mass-market projects Estée Lauder’s Aramis division partnered on.
The name C-Thru — short for “see through” — reflects the brand’s core idea: that fragrance is a form of honest self-expression. The signature transparent bottles, each with floating sparkling beads inside, are a physical extension of that philosophy. The collection has expanded steadily, now covering floral, fruity, aquatic, and oriental profiles.

C-Thru Ruby opens with melon, peach, and bergamot. The heart brings in rose, freesia, and raspberry, while sandalwood anchors the dry-down. It reads as a warm, fruity floral — upbeat but not overwhelming, and well-suited to daytime wear.
C-Thru Emerald is a floral woody musk. Top notes of lotus, blackberry, black currant, and citrus open into a heart of lily, violet, and rose, finishing on Virginia cedar, musk, and sandalwood. It’s fresher and slightly more complex than the fruitier scents in the line.
C-Thru Amethyst is a softer, more delicate fragrance within the gem collection. It leans floral with a light musky trail — a good choice for everyday wear and for those who prefer their scent to stay close to the skin rather than project.
Longevity varies by formula, but most C-Thru eau de toilettes offer around 4–6 hours of wear on skin. Applying to pulse points — wrists, neck, inner elbows — and to fabric extends the projection noticeably. The body spray formats are lighter and better suited to quick top-ups.
Most C-Thru scents are available as eau de toilette in 30 ml and 75 ml sizes, alongside deodorant body sprays in 100 ml. The EDT formats come in the brand’s signature transparent bottles with floating sparkling beads inside.
